
People come to Pagosa to bike, fish, hike and just get away. It's a
quaint little old west town. It's easy to get around and there are plenty
of restaurants and shopping. We assembled a short list of some outdoor
activities and hope you find it helpful!
Hiking Trails - Hiking on more than 500 nearby
trails with little or no foot traffic. The best website is

It tells you where, how, conditions, etc. and is maintained by organizations in
town.

Fly and Lake Fishing
People like to fish out in the National Forest at Williams Creek Reservoir
and the local area rivers. You can also obtain a permit to fish in the
lake right in the front yard (and 7 other stocked lakes in the PLPOA area).
You just take information showing that you are staying at a home within the
association to the PLPOA office

Navajo Lake
Recreational Area To the South and west of Pagosa, within reach of an easy
drive, is the beautiful Navajo Lake State Park. The lake itself lies at the foot
of high mesas, and the broad waters are surrounded by forest and virgin
wilderness. Fishing and boating ares popular in the summer and fall, and there are
picnic grounds and trails. You can use power boats, wake boards, jet skis
and all kinds of water craft on this lake. Go during the week and you
might have the lake to yourself!
Pagosa Springs Golf Club
The club is only a mile or so from the front door of the house. It is
27 holes and is entwined in the neighborhood. There is a small clubhouse
and in they take tee time reservations online.

Rafting & Kayaking
Whitewater rafting through town on the San Juan River or kayak through
challenging obstacles and dips on the rivers or in our lakes...
Mountain & Road Bikes
Mountain biking and road killers are all over Pagosa in the summer.
